UMJCA Covid Update Announcement

December 17, 2021
Dear Community Members,
As the New York region is experiencing a new wave and a high rate of COVID infections, as well as many cases of the flu, we are writing to inform all community members that we are implementing new precautionary measures in all our community synagogues and buildings. These measures are based on New York State and Health Department guidelines.
Starting today, all those attending any minyan or entering any UMJCA facilities will be required to wear a mask regardless of vaccination status.
Anyone who is experiencing any cold or flu symptoms and those who may have been recently exposed to someone who has tested positive for COVID are requested to refrain from attending synagogue or any other indoor functions at our facilities. Please wait for a negative PCR test, taken after the State mandated isolation period, before starting to attend community facilities.
We thank you for your cooperation. We pray that HaShem will protect our community, and that we will be able to lift these restrictions very soon.
Shabbat Shalom,
UMJCA Central Board
Shaare Shalom, Ohr Esther, and Shaare Rachamim Synagogue Boards
